The Bourdeilles media library opened its doors on October 7, 2017. It is part of the public reading network of the Dronne and Belle community of municipalities, made up of 4 other structures (Brantôme-en-Périgord, Mareuil-en-Périgord, Monsec and Champagnac-de-Belair). This 80m2 complex is organized into two spaces: Youth section, toy library, manga library and multimedia space. Adult section.

Monday: farm

Tuesday: 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 112:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m./1:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Thursday: farm

Friday: 4:30-7:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9h00-12h00

Sunday : closed

 

Functioning:

Membership is free upon presentation of proof of residence. The reader's card, issued to each person wishing to borrow documents, is unique and valid throughout the network. The service provides readers with several types of media and document : Printed matter (fiction, comics, documentaries), audio-video (CD, DVD, audio books), board games.

Loan terms (per card) : 15 prints for 1 month; 1 DVD for 2 weeks; 2 CDs for 2 weeks; 1 board game for 2 weeks.

Media library outside the walls:

Monthly visit to the EHPAD in order to provide residents who cannot travel with the documents selected according to their expectations.

Permanent activities:

​

Animations are regularly offered, making the media library a real place of conviviality. These activities are carried out by committed and available volunteers. Origami workshops led by Claude Jan, volunteer, Workshops " society games ", allowing to enhance the toy library, proposed and led by Julien Deborre. Session of " bébésacteurs ", in close collaboration with the Nursery Assistants Network (RAM).

Reception of schoolchildren:

The media library provides monthly reception for 7 classes. The 5 classes of RPI Bourdeilles/Paussac and 2 classes of RPI Biras/Puy-de-Fourches (loan of documents, reading aloud, documentary research).

Accessibility:

​

The choice of location for the media library facilitates exchanges and accessibility for all. Integrated into the Maison des services, where there are also rooms made available to associations organizing various activities (Tai chi, drawing lessons, of Occitan, audiovisual projections). Proximity to the establishment Les Deux Séquoias : residents of the EHPAD and the La Prada occupational center can come independently. Cela facilite aussi la fréquentation des personnes jusque alors « empêchées » ou à mobilité réduite. They can now come easily, accompanied by professional supervisors.
